BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS (JANUARY 30, 2018) /For immediate release/ — OSD Northeast military community members enjoyed a weekend of fast-paced action by way of a “Thank You Deployment” to Turner Sports ELeague Major in Boston.

The “Thank You Deployment” honorees included veterans and members of a local Coast Guard unit which OSD has been supporting for multiple years. One of the veterans was able to attend with his son and both were able to interact with the numerous teams competing in the intense event.

OSD Philadelphia Team Leader, Addam Carothers, said, “This event offered a chance for our honorees to be recognized on the big screen. They put us all in the front row, and interviewed us on the jumbotron, which was also broadcast to over 50,000 people on Twitch. It was an amazing experience!”

A representative of Turner Sports, stated, “We’re more than happy to honor OSD’s Thank You Deployment honorees, and we are grateful for their service.”

ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 is the twelfth Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, aka CS:GO (Team-based First Person Shooter), Major tournament and second organized by ELEAGUE.
